Yes. Right. Ok, taoistic, wise warriors - Now things are starting to move. I have been expecting this, and I realise now this is what I have been preparing all year to be able to explain simply. So I try my best.
... My recommendations now are this:
Turn to NoKings.org, Alliance, who are organising for general common action too now, and had an emergency online meeting tonight, and discuss with them and through their network what who of you are prepared to DO, and how to coordinate it. “Networked, connected and cooperating” is the first and most important step of being organised, and enough to meet MAGAs corresponding networking and strategizing, which have made them prevail up to now! This have been an uneven fight all the way, since they have been networked openly and aligning for 15 years now, and it will stay uneven until you are networked. NoKings.org have been busy fixing that stage while most have been mostly reacting - many in important ways, but it is fortunate that they did this in parallelle. Lets use it. BTW, tell them to spread the link to this?
In the possible event of NoKings movement should vote against supporting solutions by force, ask them to use their network to get out info about a separate, cooperating and coordinating/aligning network. They align, so we cant be zealous enough to not do it too - secterism is a killer. And really, fundamentalism is never the thing, taoism tells ut that. Tell them that at least someone needs to provide self-defense and containment while they are building the new world the long way around, which is also crucial - but i guess they are already discussing it. They are brave enough to be visible and vulnerable. Actually another way they are mirroring Team Trump, the GOOD way, attracting helpers and aligners by broadcast - which is the quickest and broadest.
The priority now is: plugging the bottom with an accepted worst case scenario, to be able to feel less stress and fear, and be more creative when working upstreams from there, TRYING to make even better - but always with a line in the sand when its time to move on the end option. Sure, you MAY be there already, and MAYBE its a more American way to go all in already and improvise and take the losses...? I dont know. Your choice. This is just how I always am forced to reason with my anxious AuDHD mind, that gets hyper-clear in these moments and tells me how I will have to think to get the fuck out of the situation, and regain normality enough to evaluate how to never get there again. And its the opposite and killer counter-move of Bannons principle “always upset people, so they cant think!”, so I needed to give you the option.
Thats what you need to think about now - according to ALL my strange-ass broad and long experience through most of human real-life behavior, organization, learning, teaching, and doing info work, with and without tech.
… Constantly spending a totally capitalistically undefensible part of my time finding and making theories about human behavior, individual and collective. ;) Building the courage to test in practice, and constant curious evaluation of those theories, and iterating until it bloody well works - the Swedish (and of course general good!) way, as I have been brought up to do, and seen working! Probably you can start a worst case soultion for security by:
- daring to network with the military and national guard too, at least as individual members, to have a common contincency plan and readiness to step in in a responsible, publicly explained way, with a force explicitely limited to do what they conscripted for, FREE the USA, democracy and constitution, from oligarchy, demagogery and tyranny, just like Plato and Aristotle warned about and recommended!
This has been known to happen sometimes. And your military IS quite principled, brave, multiethnic, and loyal to the IDEALS of the USA, and that should be used! The sole purposes are
- to arrange new elections INCLUDING the insight that both sides have a crucial part in ending up here and MUST realise and admit openly what they did wrong and change, to catch up all those left behind and feeling without representation - able to meet their real needs! Because democrats, in this setting, are back bound to do that - and they just wont admit it.
- and the last 30 years at least will need a DEEP and long truth commission like the one Desmond Tutu got South africa to accept, actually with great success - the remaining division grew back only because it had the same roots as the american, the resentment of unadressed ideologically excused enormous inequality!
- and this is a global problem, spread as an unadressed sideeffect of your wild freedom spreading American empire, which is now ending anyway, as an EMPIRE. And that is an OPPORTUNITY for greater and more REAL and honest American freedom - but one that has to be caught in mid-air, heading for disaster.
- calls for this evaluation has time and time again been expertly and actively sidetracked, most recently by using 9/11 as an excuse to sidetrack from carefully handling the fallout of the Battle of Seattle and Gothenburg. Creating a “war on terror” and a big step towards a more easily scared and prectably hackable US population - and letting the momentum and public memory of the anti-globalization movement die in media silence.
- Media is of course a culprit. Its totally disrupted in its function, by the internet infotech revolution, that is now attacking the last standing closed bastions who refuse to dare to change, network, and collaborate openly without controlling! - (Social) democratic power.
- The right wing power must be expected to be divisive, as it is a force promotin individuality, nothing strange there. It has now learned to control population by twisting reality perception through monopolistic social medias instead. Facebooks monopoly should have been busted 10 years ago, taking away Bannons opportunity to win both Trumps elections with last minute directed smear campaigns, that are more effective than most people can even imagine. This is neuro-economy: amygdala turns off higher brain functions when exposed to strong feelings of disgust and hate.
- This is of course on top of the earlier splintered media revolutions creating info bubbles around actively polarizing media. As you have seen, that IS a recepie for distaster - when you let people grit. They still trust being cared for, though. Which more easily happens when all their everyday reality is removed from the polarized progressive news bubble, too!
- And most of the deep, principled, digging journalists were let go from mainstream, when Facebook and google took half of their revenue. And the remaining ones had to accept to write about everything and make into unprincipled clickbait.
- Combined with the ability to always pay your way into all bubbles with immersive ads to subtly brainwash in between the elections, too. That is actually the ONLY way to reach MOST of the population, now. Principled social media campaigns dont get viral anymore, they are drowned by hating ones. So big campaing money is EVERYTHING. Which is making the democrats totally depending on it - until the people have built networks with staying ATTENTION power and a practiced natural habit to to act together again.
- this is creating debt of all possible kinds, in its rapid, uncontrolled, and never evaluated remaking of the world. The US empire is not wrong wanting to spread economic freedom, that is why this is hard to understand - its the speed that kills, and the uncontrolled driving, total lack of asking consent and brainwashing instead, and the lack of maintenance on the brakes, and the fact that the steering has been jammed by deliberate brainwash for the last 30 years and is all but UNABLE to turn left, even to follow the road! Actually, its force is TOO PROGRESSIVE! - in the functional sense. That is why the debts are never discussed and adressed - we dont have time or energy, and its always moving faster.
- This is not partisan, its supported by ALL science that has ever actually measured this, contrary to what the US imperial, hegemonic neolib policy says *)
- and turn over power to whoever wins. Most of them have been enscripted to do JUST that, to fight for freedom and costitution, and will honor it if given a chance to do it - so it IS one option, in the far end. Them and veterans and maybe the state national guards forming a new force to protect from ICE, funded and supported by “crowfunding” and donations from the few rich supporting this is another one - these options must at least be on the table and prepared for, to be able to find footing and clarity. And both of these options are NEEDED to get leverage for a less radical solution too.
If you believe in science and evolution , you MUST actually evaluate and observe WITHOUT JUDGEMENT, objectively, how the worst off fare and act to fix the real problems you see for them to live a dignified life, no MATTER what they have been led to believe, or vote for, or say. They have been left stuck for so long they have LOST HOPE in the constitution and the current implementation ever being able to evolve and deliver FOR THEM again , become equivalent of gritting slaves without being able to tell you because of the shame - this is also supported by pure science, antropology, neurology, and evolutionary biology, as well as REAL, not cherrypicked and one-eyed! political philosophy! And they actively want to burn it down to the ground!)
